Job Description Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Program Manager to join our Solar and Storage Systems engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering background, preferably in the field of power electronics, and have several years of industry experience. This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives on leading project teams to success and effectively utilizes program management tools to achieve project goals.

Job Description

Tasks:

  • Collaborate with the lead engineer to understand NPI program requirements and concepts, derive design scope and concepts, and break down requirements into manageable tasks in JIRA and Smartsheet

  • Actively help the engineering team in whatever way necessary to achieve its set goals – for example by technical leadership, rigor and process, work package organization, and, overall – clear thinking

  • Proactively develop, maintain, and communicate project plans to the cross-functional team

  • Manage product risks and changes throughout the lifecycle, identifying technical challenges and opportunities

  • Lead and facilitate design reviews, ensuring formal actions are tracked to closure

  • Understand fleet issues, perform root cause analysis, and facilitate design team resolutions.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or similar) with passion in program management and/or several years of experience ideally with Renewables (Solar, Battery Energy Storage, Wind)

  • Strong engineering background, preferably in power electronics

  • Proven track record of leading and managing successful engineering projects

  • Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills – “go get the job done” attitude

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

  • Open and outgoing personality with good communication skills in English and German
