Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Contribute and lead advanced SCADA Applications software development and delivery to meet project/product commitments. Engage with customers and work on defining functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery. Define, design and develop Electric Utility SCADA software applications. Lead and contribute to SCADA application development and ensure software delivery is on schedule, within budget and meets or exceeds customer expectations. Write documents such as design notes and testing procedures. Provide maintenance of existing application functionality, including code fixes, creating tools for model conversion, documentation, and user interfaces. Collaborate across teams including Project Management, Project Engineering, Customer Support, and Product Engineering to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Provide budgetary estimate for new project tasks and support tendering team on proposals. Interface with customers for demos and to conduct trainings and for support in on-going projects.

Qualifications / Requirements:

The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Major (Science, Technology, Engineering (any) or Math) + 3 years of experience in a related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering (any) or Math) + 6 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation is acceptable.

The position also requires 3 years of experience with programming skills in C/C++; 3 years of experience with scripting languages like Perl and Python; 3 years of experience with database operations; and 3 years of work and/or academic experience in the Electric Utility software systems development and project execution. Telecommuting is permitted for this role. When not telecommuting, must report to GE offices in Bothell, WA.

The salary range for this position is $182,312 - $183,000.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience and their education.
