What impact you’ll make?

GE Vernova Gas Power Hungary Parts team provides global spare-parts distribution service across the globe. The role holder will be part of Selling Services & Operations (SS&O) Parts organization and will be reporting to the Parts Inventory FP&A & Costing Leader. This analyst position focuses on analyzing parts inventory, input & obsolescence which involves data consolidation and estimating weekly, quarterly and annual metrics. This role requires close partnership with the materials management team.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Manage and own inventory reporting and closing metrics for GE Gas Power Services Inventory ($1bn);

  • Create the right level of visibility and categorization to ensure accountability in the material management and factory teams to drive inventory optimization targets;

  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis;

  • Manage and own obsolescence metrics and review with Parts CFO & PSI Leaders. Build and utilize supply chain intelligence to support the discussion;

  • Track performance relative to budgets and forecasts, review actual results and provide variance analysis;

  • Support the Inventory FP&A leader in the inventory planning (monthly, annual) process by consolidating input volume, inventory balance analytics & obsolescence metrics, performing analysis against actual figures, validating inventory drivers and main material constraints, connect with operations to align assumptions & drive results;

  • Ensure that parts input volume (yearly $1.8bn) is aligned between pacing/budgeting and inventory assumptions by coordinating between operations and finance teams;

  • Support the Gas Power Sales Inventory and Operations monthly planning cycle;

  • Facilitate cross-functional and business meetings to capture potential risks and opportunities to the cash case;

  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing reporting and analytics with specific focus on LEAN;

  • Manage ad-hoc information or analysis requests and support audit requests on inventory balances.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Risk Management from an accredited university or college;

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & FP&A Operations;

  • Fluent written and spoken English;

  • Experience in Oracle and SAP;

  • Strong Product knowledge and supply chain background;

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Preference will be given to current Gas Power Finance employees.

  • This is a hybrid role with three days remote and two days in the office.
