What Impact You’ll Make

The Gas Power Global Supply Chain Quality Leader is responsible for driving quality strategy and a zero-defect culture for manufacturing quality across the Gas Power Global Supply (GSC) Chain footprint. This leader will partner across the GSC Value Streams to implement, maintain and elevate the GSC quality strategy, which includes Built in Quality (BiQ) tools, Stop Work, Management of Change, Problem Solving, Read Across and other mechanisms to prevent quality issues and positively impact quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Customer Events, Cost of Poor Quality and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) associated with manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong knowledge of quality tools and processes and have the ability to drive strategic change; influence within GSC and cross-functionally; and identify, explain and execute countermeasures for critical quality issues. This leader will report functionally to Quality Vice President Elie Khatami and operationally to Supply Chain Vice President Shane Long.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Foster a zero-defect culture with the objective of providing products that are trusted and preferred by customers.

  • Develop and drive the GSC quality strategy across all manufacturing and repair sites.

  • Prevent defects by proactively driving built-in quality tools (PFMEAs, Control Plans) into processes and lead quality assurance in manufacturing.

  • Protect customers through systemic root cause problem-solving, coaching teams to solve problems quickly with rigor and transparency and ensuring systems are in-place to leverage lessons learned.

  • Create quality standards in the GSC organization and ensure team executes to those standards.

  • Ensure that Quality Management System (QMS) requirements are effectively established and maintained in compliance with all regulatory standards.

  • Be accountable for continuous improvement processes that boost operational reliability and operational excellence.

  • Minimize CoPQ and impact KPIs such as Customer Events and NCRs associated with manufacturing.

  • Lead the GSC Quality team, serving as People Leader for Value Stream Quality Leaders.

  • Build an inclusive culture by focusing on safety and quality and aligning with the GE Vernova Way, ensuring effective cross-functional communication and engagement with team members to ensure understanding and alignment with operational goals.

  • Provide leadership development and performance feedback to staff members, as well as coaching and mentoring across the Gas Power business.

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience

  • Significant experience in Quality, Lean and Supply Chain

  • Operationally experienced in manufacturing organizations and able to constructively collaborate with Value Streams to effectively define the big picture of quality success in a lean manufacturing environment

  • Expertise in lean problem-solving tools including A3 and 8D

  • Demonstrated experience leading transformation in a dynamic environment

  • English fluency

  • Travel as needed to drive strategy, support problem solving at manufacturing sites and connect with team

What Will Make You Stand out:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or supply chain

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing Quality policies, procedures and practices in demanding, Quality-focused industries (e.g. automotive, aviation)

  • Experience leading process simplification in a Quality context

  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of influencing and driving a strategic change agenda across the organization

  • Change agent with strong credibility at all levels of the organization

  • Strong communication skills, experience working and leading cross-culturally

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and explain critical issues

  • Ability to work effectively across functions

  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
