As a member of the CAD/CAM team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp, standardization efforts, as well as developing tools and environments for the CADCAM team to be more effective.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Be the post expert and develop and maintain NX post processors, both internally and via 3rd party support.

  • Be the Vericut expert and develop and maintain Vericut machine and controller builds

  • Develop and maintain TDM Tooling libraries

  • Leverage NX API to further drive programming efficiency and quality

  • Support other CAM related software (NCT, Vimana, 3rd Wave, TMAC, etc.)

  • Develop standards for CAM system software

  • Be the PLM focal and expert for the team

  • Generate and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or other software. This could include multi-axis milling, turning, grinding and/or EDM.

  • Initiate and lead process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.

  • Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.

  • Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Machinist Apprentice (or similar) graduate with 6 years of experience using graphical based CAM programming [OR] High School Degree w/9 years of experience using graphical based CAM software.

  • 6+ years experience NX CAM Programming

  • 3 years experience developing post processors using NX Post Builder or NX Post Configurator

  • 3 years of experience using Vericut

What will make you stand out

  • Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM (preferably NX) system.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with high-level machine tool controls including sub-routine(macro), Renishaw probing routine, and variable based programming, as well as CLM (closed loop machining)

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Machine Tool Technology.

  • Strong problem solving and organization skills, with above average shop math skills in geometry and trigonometry.

  • Knowledge of post-processor development and debugging, preferably NX Post Configurator.

  • Familiarity with Vericut Force or 3rd Wave Systems Production Module

  • Programming experience with VBA, C++, Python, or Tcl

  • Strong familiarity with multiple machine controls including Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, and G&L

  • Broad range of knowledge of machine kinematics

  • Ability to multi-task and productively manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills for complex technical problems.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $90,400.00 - 120,500.00 - USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% annual bonus structure.
