Job Description Summary
We’re looking for a highly motivated professional to come take the lead in our Talent Acquisition Space on a Maternity Leave Cover (12 Month) serving as a strong business partner for the GE Vernova business across Australia & New Zealand client groups, understanding their talent needs and continuing to build a world-class organization.
You will own the delivery of the end-to-end Talent Acquisition activities from interfacing with business leaders to delivering qualified talent, market intelligence research to drive key talent outcomes, sourcing for crucial talent segments, interviews, offers, onboarding, and all of the operational and administrative work associated with hiring top talent!
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for professional hiring, of all levels and functions across the multiple business tiers.
Accountable for the full lifecycle recruitment process, including but not limited to, managing job posting and process compliance, job briefing, sourcing, and screening of candidates, candidate tracking and status updates to business partners. Facilitate interviews and feedback, prepare salary proposal, extend verbal offers and issue Employment Agreements.
Collaborate with People Leaders, Department Leaders and HR to ensure a positive candidate experience
Partner with HR and internal clients to develop long term talent pipelining plans
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and develop an expertise in their business and talent needs, helping to develop and manage talent pools and pipelines
Manage passive candidate sourcing strategy and pipelines, utilizing proactive and innovative sourcing strategies with various techniques to meet the hiring demand of the business
Share best practices with team and stakeholders, highlighting opportunities to improve on our Lean journey
Coach People Leaders and/or interviewers to incorporate capability and competency-based assessments during their interviews
Manage and maintain diversity strategy to attract a diverse workforce to the company by hiring talented people of varied backgrounds, experiences, and styles
Ensure delivery against key metrics and alignment to priorities
Effectively leverage social media tools in alignment with GE’s Brand Strategy
Provide ad hoc market intelligence data to business, combine information (talent market trend, threats, opportunity, etc.) to be used at business strategy level
Manage visa applications and renewals, and employee onboarding process
Support the HR team on key projects as needed
Sought out as a Subject Matter Expert for specific domains, industries or functions, you will play a lead role in new process identification and development.
Directly build and develop diverse candidate pipelines and work with client groups to understand potential hiring needs.
Qualifications / Requirements
University degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or a minimum of 7 years of recruiting and sourcing experience.
Talent Acquisition “Recruitment” experience in a fast-paced, global environment.
Strong direct sourcing experience leveraging all regular tools (LinkedIn, Facebook, other online tools)
Experience working / managing the candidate life-cycle process using applicant tracking/ recruitment management systems (we use WorkDay)
Advanced knowledge of MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Desired Characteristics
Experience in Employer Branding, TA process improvement and TA Projects
Knowledge of Workday is preferred, absolutely not essential
Professional, able to deal with sensitive and confidential information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced knowledge of MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Strong organizational, prioritizing and time management skills
Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, take initiative and adapt with agility to changing business needs
