GE Vernova Hydro Sub Region Sales Leader in Remote, Austria
Job Description Summary
The Hydro Sub-Region Sales Leader will be responsible for driving profitable growth in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region by developing and managing relationship with the various customers within this region, while bringing new opportunities to the business, both for new Hydro plants such as PSP Pumped Storage Hydro and for retrofits/repower of existing units.

Essential Responsibilities
You manage a Sales team. You coach and guide them to give a real Sales pacing, to develop an early customer intimacy across the region and build strong relationship with key accounts to strengthen our pipeline of profitable deals. You are in charge to promote for the entire line of products and services proposed by GE Hydro. Leveraging close collaboration across GE Vernova and building close connexion with all businesses is key to succeed.
You are directly in charge of some accounts in the region and take direct responsibility of the Sales activity in the sub-region.
As the Sub-Regional Sales Leader, you will:
Have accountability for our Sales results including commercial growth within the Region
Act as a strong Leader to leverage the Team’s competencies, experience and diversity to continuously improve our Sales results
Manage key customer strategy for the regional customers and ensure a deep knowledge of each of them
Develop and strengthen customer relationship, increasing customer intimacy across the region
Be the primary point of contact within your direct Sales area for your customers, owning account planning and communication strategy, both for Large/New deals and Services
Provide leads and customer intelligence, sharing information and best practices
Be the customer advocate inside GE, bringing their voice to the business and ensuring that we act in a customer centric manner
Bring opportunities to the business in an organized and thorough way, reported in our tool (SalesForce.com), prepare a Sales strategy enabling early engagement on the most promising opportunities
Embrace Digital, be a supporter for the GE Digital initiatives and promote Digital with your customers
Promote the GE Vernova Store, helping other GE Vernova businesses to be effective with your customers leveraging your network and relationships
Collaborate with Account Executives and other businesses across GE Vernova to provide excellent customer coverage
Drive connection and synergies with the other GE Vernova regional sales teams, represent one Vernova team in front of the customers
Ensure proper deal strategy and pro-active intelligence with the Customers in the different deal tender and negotiation phases; ensure proper collaboration with the commercial team
Work with absolute integrity and full adherence to the Ethics and Compliance rules
Respect the EHS guidelines and ensure that they are respected by your team - Promote safe and adequate behavior within and outside the company
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industry-related engineering, Sales, Commercial Operations, project management and/or marketing
Experience of management of Sales or Project teams
Desired Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, as required
Fluent in English, Spanish and French
Experience effectively working in and managing a matrix environment and across different cultures
Experience with contract negotiation, terms and conditions
Ability to drive positive change in an organization
Be more than a Sales person, be a Business person with broad and deep understanding of the commercial cycle – including product line / marketing / sales / commercial operations / engineering
Strong interpersonal and financial skills
Strong presentation skills at the executive level
Customer, service and solution driven mindset
